“BEING ADMITTED TO THE PROFESSION OF VETERINARY MEDICINE, I SOLEMNLY SWEAR TO USE MY SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOCIETY THROUGH THE PROTECTION OF ANIMAL HEALTH, THE RELIEF OF ANIMAL SUFFERING, THE CONSERVATION OF LIVESTOCK RESOURCES, THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE. Sharon Brown DVM, MBA

Dr. Sharon Brown was born and raised in the beautiful Island of Jamaica with her parents and 6 siblings. As a child she developed her love for animals starting with her grandmother’s pigs. As she matured she realized that her interest was more geared toward the animal’s health and wellbeing. It was her determination to make caring for animals her life long career.

In 2013 Dr. Brown graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University. After graduation, she moved to Las Vegas to join the Tropicana team. Dr. Brown’s professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, dermatology, as well as internal medicine.

Dr. Brown is a proud single mom to her two kids Shari and Kaedon. Her philosophy is to always believe in yourself and be determined to work hard for your goals. She firmly believes that her faith in God, family and her deep-rooted Jamaican heritage made her the strong and dynamic individual she is today. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, reading, watching TV, and spending time with her cat Kiki.

Kara Jones DVM, MBA

Dr. Kara Jones grew up in Houston, TX with her parents and one brother. For as long as she or her family can remember, she’s always wanted to be a veterinarian. As she grew up her understanding of what being a veterinarian entailed evolved. She started volunteering and working at veterinary clinics when she was just 14 and has never looked back. She enjoys helping owners understand how to care for their pets both when they are healthy and when they get sick.

Dr. Jones received a bachelors in Animal Science in 2013 and a Masters of Biomedical Sciences in 2015 from Texas A&M University. She then moved to Phoenix, AZ to go to Midwestern University for veterinary school and graduated in 2019. After graduating veterinary school she moved to Las Vegas to work at Cadence Animal Hospital. Dr. Jones’ interests include surgery and diagnostic imaging.

Dr. Jones has 3 pets. A cat named Ginger, a pug mix Named Klein, and a boxer mix named Kali. Dr. Jones’ personal interests include baking, reading, and relaxing at home.
