Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.

I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.

I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.

Sharon Brown, DVM, MBA

Sharon Brown, DVM, MBA

Veterinarian

Dr. Sharon Brown was born and raised in the beautiful Island of Jamaica with her parents and six siblings. As a child, she developed her love for animals, starting with her grandmother’s pigs. As she matured, she realized that her interest was more geared toward the animal’s health and wellbeing. It was her determination to make caring for animals her life long career.
In 2013 Dr. Brown graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University. After graduation, she moved to Las Vegas to join the Tropicana team. Dr. Brown’s professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, dermatology, as well as internal medicine.

Dr. Brown is a proud single mom to her two kids Shari and Kaedon. Her philosophy is to always believe in yourself and be determined to work hard for your goals. She firmly believes that her faith in God, family, and her deep-rooted Jamaican heritage made her the strong and dynamic individual she is today. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, reading, watching TV, and spending time with her cat Kiki.

Carolyn Hahn, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Carolyn Hahn was born in Carrollton, Texas, and grew up with 3 dogs, 3 hamsters, and 2 cats named Pinocchio and Figaro. As a child, she became interested in different types of animals after her parents gave her an animal kingdom book. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish at Baylor University in Waco, TX. After undergraduate studies, she decided to get her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University and completed her studies in 2015. She worked for a couple of years at a doggy daycare and a veterinary clinic as a vet assistant before applying to vet school.

Dr. Hahn completed her veterinary degree at Oklahoma State University and moved to Henderson, NV soon after. She lives with her lab mix, Jubilee, and her family cat, Figaro. Dr. Hahn’s special interests include ophthalmology, parasitology, feline medicine, and orthopedics. She enjoys watching anime, taking care of pet rodents, running, playing video games, watching horror movies, and traveling.

Catherine Taylor Hawkins, DVM

Dr. Hawkins was born and raised in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, and Virginia) area. Her love for animals began after caring for her first family dog around the age of 6. She acquired several other pets throughout her childhood and realized she wanted to dedicate her life to improving the care and wellbeing of animals.

Dr. Hawkins graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University. She then attended the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her DVM. Her special interests include preventive care, dentistry, dermatology, surgery, and shelter medicine. During her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, traveling, watching TV, going to new restaurants, and spending quality time with her Shih Tzu named Petey.

Megan Leavitt , DVM

Megan Leavitt , DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Leavitt was born and raised right here in Henderson, NV. Her love for animals began with her first dog; a Samoyed named Snowbear. She has always had a special bond with animals and knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian.

Dr. Leavitt graduated from California Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Not long after, she moved to the beautiful island of Grenada and received her DVM at St. George’s University. Her last year of vet school was spent at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana for her clinical rotations. Her special interests include surgery, dermatology, and shelter medicine. In her free time, she likes to travel, hike, eat, and spend time with her island pup named Koda.
